Local students undertaking undergraduate programs in the Faculty of Engineering are eligible to apply for a number of scholarships, which provide financial support to help cover university costs. There are also scholarships for overseas travel and vacation periods.
A scholarship will give you time to focus on your studies and to participate in university life by relieving the pressure for paid work. In some cases for example the Rural Scholarship Program can make a difference between coming to UNSW or not.
There are various scholarships available, including School specific scholarships, Faculty of Engineering scholarshipsUNSW scholarships such as the career development Co-op Program.
Within the Faculty there are also industry scholarships available, which offer industry training opportunities and scholarships provided by private donors. All scholarships are allocated based on merit, though personal qualities, performance at interview and personal circumstances are also taken into account.
