Undergraduate Scholarships

Faculty of Engineering Rural Scholarships Program is designed to assist students of high academic ability living in rural and isolated areas to study at the leading Engineering Faculty in Australia. The Co-op Program provides scholarships combined with industrial training at sponsoring companies.

An increasing number of tertiary institutions are now offering Co-op type scholarships, so the competition for both sponsors and top class scholars is more intense. Fortunately the UNSW Co-op scheme continues to enjoy its high profile in all secondary schools throughout Australia so we continue to attract applications from high calibre students with students from virtually every state having the opportunity to be interviewed for the program. The importance of Co-op is that it keeps our School in a pre-eminent position in the minds of senior secondary school students. Reports from the sponsors indicate that the scholars are making significant contributions and continue to perform well during the industrial training (IT). With the experience of their IT periods behind them, Co-op graduates have no difficulty in finding employment of their choice.
