Industrial Training is the practical area of an undergraduate degree which stipulates that all Engineering students must complete a certain amount of Industrial Training in order to complete their course. Chemical Engineering and Industrial Chemistry students spend a minimum of 60 days working in a company, usually during summer recesses at the end of their second and third years. The purpose is to prepare them for employment, giving them the opportunity to gain direct workplace experience and to apply the theory they learn in class.
