Thesis work is usually theoretical and experimental research on a selected topic in chemical engineering, industrial chemistry or food science under the guidance of an academic staff member.
To complete your Honours year you are required to do a thesis research project. This is done within two 4th year courses CEIC4002 Thesis A and either CEIC4003 Thesis B (6UOC) or CEIC4006 Thesis Advanced (12UOC).
Enrolment in CEIC4002 requires a student to have done at least 144 UOC taken in Industrial Chemistry or Chemical Engineering Programs and to have completed either INDC2003 or CEIC3003.
Most available projects do not allow the completion of the research thesis within a single session. The usual requirement is to enrol in CEIC4002 and CEIC4003 in consecutive semesters.
If you are planning on enrolling in a thesis course this coming semester, you will need to sign yourself up for the Research Projects moodle course. This will allow you to browse the available research projects and register for supervision. To sign yourself up to the moodle course, point your browser to:

where it says “Enrolment key” for Student.
You should sign up for the moodle course just before the semester in which you intend to enrol:
