General Education

The General Education Program at UNSW intends to broaden and deepen students' understanding of the environment in which they live and work and to enhance their skills of critical analysis.
The program presents students with interesting, challenging and enjoyable opportunities to pursue their own intellectual curiosity.

12 Units of Credit of General Education Courses are usually required to complete one of the School's Engineering degrees. These can be taken from any Faculty within the university.

In some cases a course that is not listed as a General Education course can still be taken as such however it has to be approved by the Director of Teaching and Learning PRIOR to enrolment.
