Staff Computing

Staff and visitors of Chemical Engineering will generally be allocated to an office where a network port has been activated and ready for connection to the UNSW campus-wide network. In general, the School of Chemical Engineering does not provide computers to visitors. Research groups are usually responsible for the provision of computers for research staff, postgraduate students and visitors within the research group. The School does provide assistance with connection to the network and associated IT services such as printer configuration and software installation.

Staff and postgraduate research students are entitled to obtain software packages from IT at UNSW. UNSW has negotiated campus site licenses for selected
software where these software packages are distributed cost-free for campus use. UNSW has also obtained optimum prices for a range of software packages at a heavily discounted rate. Full details (including Terms and Conditions) can be access via the link below:
